Release date: 10/02/24

More than 415,000 South Australians with a Seniors Card are eligible for a new fuel discount that will put more money in their pocket every time they fill up.

This is part of the just released 2024 Seniors Card Discounts and Deals Directory that is offering hundreds of great offers and discounts on everything from travel, home and garden, clothing, fitness, education, retail, recreational activities and more.

Having celebrated its 30th birthday last year, the Seniors Card is continuing to expand its offerings and discounts to South Aussies during a time when every dollar saved is extremely important.

Under a new partnership with United Petroleum, South Australian Seniors Card members who register online for a digital or physical United fuel discount card can save four cents per litre on fuel purchases at participating United service stations across Australia, including 24 sites in metro Adelaide and six sites in regional SA.

South Australian Seniors Card members can pick up a copy of the guide from one of hundreds of collection points across South Australia, including local councils, libraries and MP offices.

Discounts and offers can also be accessed on the Seniors Card Discounts & Deals website, which is updated throughout the year as new discounts are added.

Permanent South Australian residents aged 60 or over and working less than 20 hours per week in paid employment are eligible to apply for a South Australian Seniors Card.

To apply for the United fuel discount card, go to www.unitedpetroleum.com.au/fuel-discount-cards/our-partners/sa-seniors-card, or call the United Customer Solutions team on 1300 383 587.

The SA Seniors Card helps more than 400,000 South Australians getting out and about and encourages them to be active in the community.

This partnership with Australian-owned business, United Petroleum, will not only do this, but it will also help to reduce the cost of living for older South Aussies.

Seniors Card holders have already embraced other initiatives, such as free all-day travel on Adelaide services, which the Malinauskas Labor Government brought in in July 2022.

In total, the last State Budget provided $471.3 million for cost of living relief for South Australians who need it most – in the largest package of cost of living relief measures ever deployed in South Australia.

South Australian Seniors Card holders will also be able to access savings, connect with their community and take part in new activities with the help of the 2024 Discounts & Deals Directory.

I encourage members to refer to the online or hardcopy Directory whenever they are looking for goods and services, as the savings will quickly add up.
