The State Government today paid tribute to Ombudsman Wayne Lines, who confirmed he will be finishing in the role at the end of the year.

Mr Lines commenced as Ombudsman in 2014, after a six-year stint as WorkCover Ombudsman.

Prior to that, he has worked as a lawyer, including time in the Civil Litigation section of the Crown Solicitor’s Office.

The State Government will work with Parliament's Statutory Officers Committee to undertake the process for appointing the next Ombudsman, in line with the requirements of the Ombudsman Act.
