The Malinauskas Labor Government is delivering yet another election commitment and bringing back Brand SA – shining the light on South Australian producers, manufacturers and owners.

The Government has Budgeted $6.2 million over four years to re-establish Brand SA, which will focus on marketing South Australian made products and grown produce to markets intrastate, interstate and overseas.

The former Liberal Government axed Brand SA, which managed I Choose SA and the State Brand in 2019. However, at the State Election, Peter Malinauskas announced Labor would bring back Brand SA.

Brand SA will become a dedicated agency within the Department of Trade and Investment, and this initiative will include a new Buy Local campaign to encourage South Australians to switch $1 in every $20 of their spending to local products.

There are currently almost 8000 businesses registered and using the State Brand, as we strengthen South Australia’s image and reputation.
