A South Australian company which will supply LED lights to warships, is among those to receive top gongs at the recent National Export Awards recently.

In a stellar night for South Australian businesses putting the State on the international stage, three local companies took out awards.

Redarc Electronics top honour in the Manufacturing and Advanced Materials category. Meanwhile MyVenue received the Small Business Award and Prophecy International was named joint winner of the Advanced Technologies Award.

Redarc, a local advanced manufacturer, recently secured a $23 million contract in partnership with UK-based MARL International to provide 12,600 LED lights for three Hunter-class warships.

Redarc Defence & Space and MARL International will manufacture 79 types of lights for each frigate, to be built at the Osborne Naval Shipyard in South Australia.

While MyVenue provides fast and reliable point-of-sale solutions for sports, entertainment and hospitality venues – whose clients comprise more than 70 stadiums, arenas, convention centres, zoos, hotels and cafes around the world. The company has increased its exports by 433 per cent with key markets such as the US, Canada, the UK and Southeast Asia.

Finally, Prophecy International provides data integration, analytics and business process automation solutions for a range of industries. Customers include global Fortune 1000 enterprises, government, defence and military organisations and finance, energy, utilities, health and retail businesses.
