Latest data confirms there has never been a better time to find work in South Australia with vacancies reaching a record 25,300.

A quarterly survey released by the Australia Bureau of Statistics shows the number of job vacancies in South Australia increased 0.4 per cent in the 3 months to November 2022 and 6.8 per cent through the year.

Nationally, in the same three-month period, the number of job vacancies fell 5.2 per cent.

In a sign of the continuing strength of the jobs market in South Australia there are currently 22,300 job vacancies in the private sector - up 1,400 from the previous year.

It follows last month’s encouraging jobs figures, which found there are now 920,300 South Australians employed, 601,500 of them full time.

This comes as South Australia has a near record low unemployment rate at 4.1 per cent
