More than $1.7 million will be spent upgrading one of Adelaide’s key arterial roads, with works to start on Main North Road next week.
Resurfacing works on a 1.3km section of Main North Road between The Grove Way and Black Top Road in Salisbury Park will begin on Sunday night.
Further night works will begin on Monday night for a 1.2 kilometre section between Bristol Avenue and Regency Road in Enfield.
Another $235,000 will be invested in resealing 4.1 kilometres of the Palmer to Murray Bridge Road, about 7 kilometres south of Palmer.
The projects will improve the surface quality and extend the life of the roads, while also improving safety for all road users.
The Main North Road works in Salisbury Park are expected to be completed by 28 March while the works at Enfield are due to be completed by 7 April, weather permitting.
The works will be carried out at night between 7pm and 7am.
The Palmer to Murray Bridge Road works will begin on Tuesday 21 March and are expected to be completed by April 2017, weather permitting.
The work will be undertaken between 7am and 5.30pm Monday to Saturday.
