This weekend, Goolwa will celebrate South Australia’s rich maritime heritage with a fun-filled festival based at the popular Wharf Precinct.

The South Australian Wooden Boat Festival is the second largest of its kind in Australia and features displays of wooden and classic boats, music, demonstrations and premium local produce.

With free entry for families, the biennial event is this year expected to attract a crowd of around 18,000, with boaties and spectators from interstate and overseas flocking to the area to take part.


The South Australian Government, through the 2016-17 Regional Events and Festivals Program, is a proud sponsor of the South Australian Wooden Boat Festival.

The South Australian Wooden Boat Festival will take place in the Goolwa Wharf Precinct from 22 to 23 April 2017.
